Minimally Invasive Pelvic Surgery

 

Sometimes surgical treatment is the best option for gynecologic symptoms, but it doesn’t have to be traditional surgery that often necessitates a large incision. Leslie Chupp MD, our Medical Director, has extensive experience in laparoscopic surgery, a modern technique and minimally invasive approach that requires only a small incision. 

 

Laparoscopic surgery uses a laparoscope, which allows viewing of the affected area through a fiber optic cable that enters the body from a more easily accessible location, such as the belly button.

 

Dr. Chupp is a credentialed da Vinci robotic surgeon, and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
